The Arroyo Seco Weekend, a festival focused on music, food, and art, is at the historic Pasadena Rose Bowl June 24-25.
In its first year, the Arroyo Seco Weekend Youth Program (June 20-21) is designed to educate local high school students grades 10-12 on the various aspects of the music and entertainment industry. Selected students will spend two days at the Pasadena Rose Bowl learning about careers in music and entertainment including event production, marketing, and concert promotion. They will also receive professional advice on personal and career development.
All interested and qualified students are encouraged to apply for the Arroyo Seco Weekend Youth Program. Please read below for qualification requirements:
Attend one of the following City of Pasadena high schools: Blair, John Muir, Marshall, or Pasadena.
Enrolled in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade as of Fall 2017.
Demonstrate a strong interest in business operations as it relates to the music and/or entertainment industry.
Written response to the following questions:
- Why do you want to be selected to participate in this program?
- What inspires you?
- What has been your most rewarding accomplishment?
- Upload a video or send a video link of you showcasing your talent, or submit a self-interview video discussing why you want to be selected (max. 2 minutes).
